Coffee table

Coffee table

I have recently completed my first coffee table with the mighty help of furniture maker genius Ron John.

The top table is made form the first cut of a fine grain boulder from Carnsew. So you can still see a tough joint from underneath the table, showing its primal state. This cut, in the masonrry industry is considered as waste as it is far too small for any building use.

I did ask Ron to make the legs for me. His experience was priceless in finding a way to keep the table in tune with the folk arts practised in Japan, where simplicity is appreciated and valued.

The result is a coffee table all made within meters to the granite extraction.

This table is part of my Form + Function set up. All sizes and shapes available on demand.
